Celebrate National Library Lover’s Month with a Short Story Contest!
Do you love libraries? Do you love to write?
The McPherson Public Library invites you to celebrate February’s, National Library Lover’s Month by entering our Short Story Contest!
Write a short story (maximum one page) that includes the McPherson Public Library. Stories can be any genre.
The author of the winning story will take home a special gift basket!
Who can enter: Open to all ages
Work must be: Original, creative writing only
Length: One page maximum
Deadline: February 1st at 5:00 PM
Please write your name and phone number on the back and bring your printed story to the front desk. Need to print?
You’re welcome to use the library printer!
All entries will be displayed throughout February.
Voting will be open to the public through the 26th, and the winner will be announced on February 27th!
Let your imagination roam the stacks, uncover a secret between the shelves, or tell a love story inspired by your favorite library.
*MPL has the right to withdraw stories if deemed inappropriate*
